The place Birishiri located at Shushong Durgapur of the Netrokona District. It’s a remarkable place for visiting because of river, garo, ceramic hills, small mountains and the green countryside. The main attractive location of Birishiri is the ceramic hill of Durgapur and the Shomeshwari River. There has also ethnic culture as there are many ethnic groups like – Garo, Hajong, Mandi and Achik etc lives here.
Birishiri is located at the border of Bangladesh & India. Rickshaw is the only internal transport to go around in there. Most of local roads are muddy. At present some guest houses and hotels are available at Birishiri and Durgapur but not like higher standard. When you will come back from there, hopefully you will have nice memories of its natural beauty.
The best way to get in here is by road. It’s about 178 km north from Dhaka. If you take Mymenshing- Netrokona-Kalmakanda-Durgapur rout it takes around 6 hours from Dhaka. You can go by direct bus to Birishiri from Mohakhali bus stand in Dhaka.
